Autumn Term in Morpurgo

This first half term we have been reading The Girl of Ink and Stars - one of Miss Clements' favourite books. There are lots of twists, tension and cliffhangers. 

Book Clubs 

In Morpurgo class we love Book Clubs - reading a book together in a group in a social way is fantastic for encouraging children to read and often opens children up to books they many not have considered before. We have two book clubs up and running and more will follow. If your child hasn't joined a book club already, they will be able to join one soon - a mixture of reading together in school and reading a chapter or two independtly at home.
