Exciting news! The Somerset Children’s Parliament team invites you to participate in an incredible public-speaking and pupil voice competition for Year 5/6 children! 📣✨

🗓️ Date: Monday, 16th June 2025
📍 Venue: Broughton House, Taunton

This is a unique opportunity for your pupils to shine and showcase their learning and skills. Each child will have the chance to deliver a five-minute presentation on the theme: ‘Making a difference in our community’. 🌍❤️

Team Up!

Schools can enter a team of 4 pupils, who will create an inspiring presentation on any topic that reflects how their learning has motivated them to make a positive change. Topics could include:

• Making a difference to the school community: 🌱 Sustainable initiatives, mental health and well-being, online safety, and anti-bullying campaigns.
• Making a difference to the local community: 🏡 Crime prevention, caring for the countryside, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
• Making a difference to the global community: 🌎 Tackling climate change, diversity, and peace initiatives.
