A very warm welcome to the St Michael’s Academy website.

We are extremely proud of our caring and supportive school community where we celebrate and develop the wide and varied skills and interests of our children through a broad and balanced curriculum. We value each child’s potential whether that be academic, creative, sporting or social.  

Here at St Michael’s our mission is to develop personal fulfilment within all our pupils so that they continue their lives with determination, self-esteem, initiative and pride. We are aspiring to improve the lives of all of our children, staff, and wider community. Children leave St Michael’s as prepared as they can possibly be for their next steps in education and the wider world.  To this end, St Michael's offers a rich, diverse and balanced curriculum that is built around the acquisition of skills and knowledge. 

Visitors describe our pupils as being kind, well behaved and very supportive of each other.  Staff work tirelessly to ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to broaden their experiences with pupil well-being at the heart of everything that we do. Our curriculum is broad, balanced, creative and innovative and meets the needs of all pupils. 

Our pupils speak with great confidence when questioned by visiting adults and demonstrate empathy towards each other. They respect the uniqueness of the school and fully embrace the diversity of all that attend. They are proud of their teachers, their friends and most of all themselves.
