Trips and Parent Information

London Trip 2013

Residential Visits

Residential trips are arranged for Years 3/4 and Year 6 pupils to enhance their experiences of the National Curriculum.

The total cost of the trip will include board and lodgings, transport, admission fees, tuition and supervision fees and a daily insurance premium. A breakdown of the charges can be made available to parents on request. Voluntary contributions will be required to ensure that the visits will take place.

Day Trips

Each year group will arrange day trips throughout the year to enhance the quality of learning in a variety of subjects. Each trip will include the cost of transport, admission fees, instruction or tuition fees and insurance where applicable. Parents will be informed of the total cost of the trip and a full breakdown of these costs can be made available to them on request.


Current 2016/2017 School Trips

Year 5 Fleet Air Arm Museum - Yeovilton 18-11-2016

Year 5 children will be visiting the FAA Yeovilton as part of their WW2 topic this year.  The trip is £8

Pantomime - Peter Pan - 15th December 2016

This years annual visit to the Octagon Theatre is to see Peter Pan.  This will take place during school day.  Cost for the ticket are £10. 

National Trust House Visits - 20/21 September 2016

The children will be visiting the school 'house' they are a member of to find out about the history of them.  Montacute, Stourhead, Babbington and Lytes Cary will be visited.

Previous School Trips

Y6 Crealy Reward Trip - 15 July 2016

As a reward for their hard work, the Y6 children will be visiting Crealy on 15 July 2016.  No child can participate on this trip without a signed permission slip or payment.

Y3 Woodlands - Trips

Over 3 days - the Year 3 children visit Woodlands.

Abbey Hill Steam Rally - 29 April 2016

This trip is for Year 5's only.   The trip is in school time.

Taunton Museum Trip Y6 16 March 2016

Year 6 will be visiting Taunton Museum on 16 March.  Trip is in school time and costs £6

St Ives - Penzance Year 4 Residential Trip 18-20 May 2016

Year 4's will be visiting the Eden Project, Tate St Ives for a workshop with an artist, sketching at the Barbara Hepworth Gardens and visiting Llanhydrock House on the return journey.

Year 6 London Residential 8-10 June 2016

The annual Year 6 Residential to London.  Visiting Windsor Castle, Museums, a flight in the London Eye, a West End Show and Buckingham Palace.  Needs to be paid in full by 27 May 2016

Year 6 Greek Workshop - 25 September 2015

We are having Steve Manning providing a Greek Workshop.  To take part please complete the form at the back of the Bulletin for week commencing 14 and 21 September.  This costs £4.00

Nothe Fort - 2 October 2015

Year 5 children will be visiting Nothe Fort as part of their WW2 investigations.  The consent and payment form is on the back of the Bulletin for w/c 21 September.

Pantomime - 9 December 2015

The whole school visit to the Octagon Theatre to see the Pantomime Sleeping Beauty.  The trip is in school time.
